NFL Roundup: Denver Mount Fourth-Quarter Comeback Versus Eagles, Baltimore Suffer Record Home-field Loss

Denver Broncos 21–17 Philadelphia Eagles

Bo Nix found an 11-yard scoring throw and JK Dobbins contributed another rushing score in the final period as the Broncos erased a two-touchdown disadvantage to hand the Eagles their first loss of the campaign. The Broncos batted down the Eagles quarterback's last-gasp pass on the contest's last snap to send the Super Bowl champions to just their second defeat in their last 22 games. The Broncos (three wins and two losses) caught a huge break in their comeback when the Philadelphia had a crucial play nullified on an illegal shift penalty called on running back Saquon Barkley.

Houston Texans 44–10 Baltimore Ravens

Houston's quarterback passed for 244 passing yards and four touchdowns, and Houston (two wins and three losses) strolled to a decisive victory over an injury-ravaged Ravens squad, equaling both the biggest away victory in the franchise's record books and the most lopsided home loss in Ravens' history. The Ravens (1-4) were without two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, and that was far from their sole issue. Key defenders multiple defensive leaders all missed the game, and the Baltimore already were weakened on that side of the ball because of a neck problem that ended Nnamdi Madubuike's season. The Ravens were also missing Pro Bowl blocker Ricard and offensive lineman Stanley.

Las Vegas Raiders 6–40 Indianapolis Colts

Jonathan Taylor ran for three rushing scores and a two-pointer, and the quarterback passed for two touchdown passes as the Colts routed the Las Vegas Raiders. This decisive advantage was Indy's biggest since 2013. The quarterback finished 20 passes out of 29 attempts for 212 yards and improved to 4-1 as a starter this year, surpassing his total wins over the previous two years with the New York Giants. Taylor carried 17 times for 66 rushing yards and grabbed three passes for 20 yards. The Colts converted multiple takeaways into TDs. Las Vegas fell to 4-1.

Cowboys Soar Past Jets in High-Scoring Game

Dak Prescott threw four touchdown passes, guiding the Cowboys to an easy victory over the New York Jets. The Cowboys scored on two long marches in the second period, even with missing four starters on the offensive line. The running back gained 135 rushing yards and a score and also hauled in a receiving touchdown. Dallas, now two wins, two losses, and a tie, rebounded from a 40-40 tie against Green Bay last Sunday. New York are still without a victory at zero wins and five losses in their new coach's inaugural year as head coach.

Vikings Edge Browns in London Thriller

Vikings receiver Jordan Addison grabbed a 12-yard touchdown pass from the quarterback with 25 seconds left to give the Vikings victory over the Cleveland Browns at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The 10-play, 80-yard drive gave the Minnesota (three wins and two losses) a much-needed win on their historic international road trip, which started with a 24-21 loss to the Steelers in Ireland last Sunday. It also spoiled the rookie's debut as starter, as the Browns first-year player positioned his squad (one win and four losses) in contention by throwing two touchdown passes. Fellow rookie Quinshon Judkins gained 110 rushing yards on 23 carries. Wentz shook off a shoulder injury that temporarily forced him out and directed two scoring drives in the latter half.

Miami Dolphins 24-27 Carolina Panthers

Bryce Young passed for two touchdowns and Rico Dowdle ran for 206 rushing yards and a score as the Panthers came back against the Miami Dolphins in Charlotte. The quarterback's short pass to the first-year receiver with under two minutes to play gave the Panthers (two wins and three losses) the decisive advantage as they matched the largest comeback to win a game in team history by overcoming a large deficit. Young had a horrific first quarter, but he ended up 19-for-30 passing for 198 passing yards with one pick. Dowdle, replacing injured Chuba Hubbard, did his damage on the run on 23 attempts, coming up four yards of matching the team's all-time rushing mark. The Dolphins' quarterback threw 27 of 36 for 256 yards with three touchdowns and receiver Waddle accumulated 110 receiving yards on six catches and scored a touchdown, but the Dolphins (one win and four losses) dropped to 0-3 in road games.

Saints Secure First Win Under New Coach

New Orleans' quarterback threw a long touchdown to Rashid Shaheed, safety Jordan Howden returned a fumble 86 yards for a touchdown, and New Orleans defeated the turnover-prone Giants for the New Orleans' initial win under first-year head coach Moore. Rattler earned his maiden win in 11 professional starts, passing for 225 passing yards without a turnover. Giants rookie QB Dart, who secured his first career start last week, threw for 202 passing yards and two touchdowns, but also turned the ball over on three occasions. New York gave up possession five times in all, none more costly than when Bryan Bresee stripped ball carrier Skattebo, leading to the safety's touchdown. Each squad are one win and four losses.
