Helicopter Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter flying above a well-attended California shoreline suddenly began spiraling wildly, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a row of palm groves as spectators observed.
Recordings posted online show the aircraft starting to spin near the beach then descending towards the border of the beach, where it gets stuck amidst palm groves and a set of stairs close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Details
Local firefighters said five individuals were rushed to the hospital involving two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” after the accident on Saturday.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Information on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
