A Pair of Suspects Accused for Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 stand indicted for homicide and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences including the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was taken into custody following a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were taken as evidence.
